Join us for a fun introduction to cross country riding and obstacles! Have you always wanted to try eventing? Do you have a young or green horse that you'd like to introduce to obstacles like ditches and banks? Always wanted to see how your horse would feel about jumping solid fences? Are you looking for a spring refresher for you and your horse before the season starts? This is the clinic for you!Learn how to ride on terrain and how to be in proper gallop and cross country jumping position. Learn the right way to introduce a horse to ditches and banks to help them be confident about them for a lifetime. Learn the proper rider position for jumping different varieties of cross country fences.
We are also offering poles only and in-hand groups for horses or riders who may not be quite ready for jumping yet. Teaching young horses how to navigate obstacles in-hand is a fantastic way to build their confidence and coordination, no matter what discipline you're looking to do!
We have a very limited number of JCE school horses available if you do not have a horse of your own to bring; they are masters at showing people the ropes of cross country and eventing!
Sessions will be small, one hour groups to give individualized attention to everyone. $75/rider, $50 horse lease fee for use of a JCE horse (current JCE students are exempt from the horse lease fee). Payment must be made in full to secure a spot.
Clinic will be held rain or shine. If the footing is not appropriate due to weather, the clinic will be cancelled and full refunds will be issued. No refunds for scratches unless your spot can be filled from a waiting list.
Helmets required at all times when mounted. XC vests are strongly encouraged. All riders must wear long pants and proper riding boots.
All outside horses must provide a negative Coggins dated within 12 months and all riders must sign a JC Eventing Release and Hold Harmless agreement: https://www.jotform.com/250126173911045
