During this event, you'll have the opportunity to sample a variety of coffees from different regions and experience their unique profiles. You'll also learn about where coffee get its flavor from and how to better describe the types of coffee that you enjoy.
Duration: 60 minutes
Setting: 5 people max
Location: 265 West 14th Street, New York, NY, USA
How to find us: Once inside, look for Terremoto - just past the gates on 1st floor
Levels: While intended for beginners, serious nerds are always welcome. If you've cupped before, the first part will feel familiar. I'll try to post about the coffees ahead of time so you can make a decision based on what we taste. (@TerremotoCoffee on Instagram)
We donate your ticket: Both the host (Eric) and the shop (Terremoto) are volunteering their time and resources out of passion for the craft. The plan is for all proceeds, net of cost, to go towards supporting One Love, a specialty coffee roaster with six coffee shops in Kyiv, Ukraine, through our partnership with Seven Seas Foundation.
I highly encourage you to read more about One Love and Seven Seas in Barista Magazine here.
The cost breakdown:
Per person: $25 - $3.45 (Eventbrite service and process fees) = $21.55
Net of cost: $21.55 - $8 to $10 (four coffees for four attendees on average over two sessions) = $13.55 to $15.55 (to be donated)
