Prerequisites:
To ensure all participants are on the same page, attendees must have completed the Hairstyling for Freelance Makeup Artists camp or provide proof of prior hair experience.
Workshop Highlights
Down Styled Looks: Learn techniques for creating polished and romantic down styles perfect for brides who want soft, elegant hair.
Half-Up, Half-Down Styles: Master versatile half-updos to give your brides the best of both worlds.
Updos: Explore timeless and trendy updo styles, from classic French twist to textured, bohemian-inspired looks.

- Mannequin head (from the previous workshop or your own)
- Hot tools (flat iron, curling irons, etc.)
- Brushes and combs
- Pack a lunch! A microwave and fridge are available.

The Instructor
Claire Mints is a seasoned makeup artist and AMIA alumni. At the Academy, Claire honed her skills in various makeup styles, ranging from the subtle art of “no makeup” makeup to the intricacies of wig making and styling, and even the fascinating world of special effects makeup, where she could turn a man into a turtle or create other captivating transformations.
Claire’s practical experience extends to makeup for diverse occasions, including weddings, music videos, and film productions. Her work has left its mark on notable projects such as “Breach,” “White Elephant,” “Bandit,” and “Deadlock.”
