About this Event
THIS IS AN IN-PERSON WORKSHOP
It may be helpful to attend the March 20th webinar " Beekeeping: Is it for me?" prior to attending the Intro to Beekeeping Workshop.
"Intro to Beekeeping" will give you the basic knowledge to get started with your beekeeping hobby or business. You will learn about the components of a hive, how to select equipment that is right for you, how a bee colony lives, how to use beekeeping tools and protective gear, and how to acquire and manage your own bee colonies. (No live bees used during this class. You are welcome to attend our future hands-on field days in apiaries at no cost in the future.) Lunch is included.
Please be aware that if there is not an adequate number of registrations a week in advance of the class, all registered attendees will be notified of class cancellation and will be issued a full refund on their registrations. For additional registration payment options, contact Jessica Sullivan: [email protected], 321-697-3000.
Persons with accessibility requests - please contact UF IFAS Extension in Osceola County at least 7 working days in advance of the program so we may give proper consideration to your request.
