Offered by the Sussex County Beekeepers Association, this Introduction to Beekeeping course is a three-day beginner course in beekeeping to be held on two Saturdays in February (Feb 1 & 8, Snow Date Feb 15) plus a field day in April, 2025.🐝 Successful completion of this class satisfies the State of NJ education requirement for beekeepers. 🐝

Registration Fee: $110 per person / $60 for 2nd person*

What's included in your registration?
▪️Two full days of beekeeping instruction from New Jersey's most experienced and successful beekeepers
▪️ A third day of instruction (TBD in April) will be held at the SCBA apiary at Wallkill River National Refuge for live demonstrations and hands-on experience.
▪️ The Backyard Beekeeper, 4th edition, by Kim Flottum, an essential resource for the beginning beekeeper
▪️ 1st year membership in the New Jersey Beekeepers Association and the Sussex County Beekeepers Association (SCBA)
▪️ Copies of all presentations
▪️ Continental breakfast and lunch

* Please note: To qualify for the family rate both the registrant and guest must reside at the same address. Each full registration will receive the 1 (one) copy of the Backyard Beekeeper, presentation copies, and NJBA/SCBA membership (1 year). The guest of the registrant will receive presentation copies only.
