In order to practice yoga as outlined by Patanjali, we want to encourage our students to commit themselves to a thoughtful, continuous practice. To best accomplish this, we are now offering 5 week sessions. Students are highly encouraged (but not required) to attend every class during their session. In addition to these weekly classes, students will have free access to any class on the schedule for the duration of the series.Ashtanga yoga is extremely popular and inspires fierce loyalty in its students. This vigorous, athletic style of practice appeals to those who like a sense of order and who like to do things independently.
Asthanga Vinyasa was developed by K. Pattabhi Jois. The primary series, also called Yoga Therapy, is intended to realign the spine, detoxify the body, and build strength, flexibility, and stamina. Poses are taught in sequential order and are the same for every class, every time. However, no two classes ever feel the same in the body or the mind.
In this session learn the foundations to breath, poses and alignment. Small class size and one-on-one instruction guarantees you confidence and ease in your yoga journey. In each class expect 45 minutes of physical practice followed by 45 minutes of in-depth lessons.
