Students will learn about composition, color theory, and visual hierarchy as they create digital artworks and graphics. The course will cover techniques for photo editing, image manipulation, and the creation of visually striking graphics optimized for web and print. Through a series of projects, participants will gain hands-on experience in using Photoshop's powerful tools, enhancing their ability to communicate ideas visually. By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in both design principles and pixel graphics.
To maximize their learning experience, students are encouraged to take this course in addition to Intro to Graphic Design (Adobe Illustrator) and Intro to Typesetting + Typography (Adobe InDesign), allowing them to develop a comprehensive understanding of the design process across various media.
