Intrepid After Hours: All About the Engine Room

Join fellow current and former service members to learn about the intricacies of Intrepid’s engine room. Curatorial Associate Alison Burke and Curatorial Research Assistant Ephraim Kozodoy will present their research about Intrepid’s engine room and share stories from former crew members who served there. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to test a virtual reality experience currently in development, offering a virtual tour of the engine room and its surroundings. Following this immersive VR experience, continue the conversation over a catered dinner.

Please note, this program will not take place in Intrepid's engine room, which is closed to the public.

Can I bring a civilian guest?

Intrepid After Hours is for current and former service members only. The only exception is for personal care assistants in support of participants with disabilities. The Museum offers a number of other programs for veterans and their loved ones. Please visit intrepidmuseum.org/vets for information about upcoming programs.
