About this Event
Intrepid After Hours: A Close Look at Sick Bay

Join fellow current and former service members for an exploration of Intrepid’s Sick Bay and the exhibit On the Mend: Restoring Intrepid’s Sick Bay! Learn about the Museum’s plans to restore and publicly open this part of the ship and about the stories curators have started to uncover about health and medicine aboard Intrepid. Then, continue the conversation over a catered dinner.

This program is for current and former service members only. For more information about the Intrepid Museum's programs and resources for current and former service members and their loved ones, please visit intrepidmuseum.org/vets.

Accessibility Note:

Participants will have a special opportunity to visit Intrepid’s sick bay, which is not yet open to the public. Accessing this area requires the use of stairs and walking through narrow raised doorways. Lightweight portable stools will be available. Participants who cannot or prefer not to explore sick bay will be able to explore digital scans of the space.
