This innovative course is held in the superb facilities of University Hospital Nottingham's cadaver and anatomy learning centre. Using fresh cadaver specimens, it covers the practical techniques of injecting steroids, viscosupplements or prolotherapy agents into the knee, ankle and foot.Delegates will work in pairs, under the close supervision of a highly-experienced podiatrist injector, administering injections to all of the parts mentioned.
The delegates are shown how to find entry sites by traditional landmark techniques, as well as by ultrasound imaging (injection guided procedures) for those who are already familiar with ultrasound imaging or considering introducing it in their practice. Both techniques can stand alone or can be used concurrently or consecutively.
