FOOD AND DRINK:

FORMAT:
• Armies are constructed to 2000 pts using the 10th edition rules for building armies. The rules and amendments in the Pariah Nexus Tournament Companion will be used.
• Rules and updates up to Friday 12th July 2024 will be used at the event.
• List submission is Saturday 13th July 2024 by midnight. Lists should be uploaded to the Best Coast Pairing app by this time.
Lists that are submitted late, or have errors found, will have a 10VP penalty deducted for each game, and those players will not be able to podium. Armies should be painted to a battle-ready standard.
MISSIONS:
The following missions will be used:
Game 1: Scorched Earth, Tipping Point, Swift Action, GW terrain layout 1
Game 2: Linchpin, Search and Destroy, Raise Banner, GW terrain layout 6
Game 3: Purge the Foe, Crucible of Battle, Rapid Escalation, GW terrain layout 2
TERRAIN:
Games will be played on 60x44 boards.
The event will use a mixture of UKTC-style terrain and GW-style terrain layouts. You are free to rearrange the terrain to match the specific mission with your opponent at the beginning of the game.
Notes: Rulespack written on 24/06/24. If the UKTC maps are updated after this point, the new map layouts will be used. For Tipping Point, use the Hammer and Anvil deployment map for the placement of UKTC ruins.
Tables for each pairing will be randomised, so you may end up on either terrain set, so plan accordingly when submitting your list!
For all the terrain sets, the bottom/ground floor windows and doors of ruins will be considered line of sight blocking, as per UKTC.
Clear Perspex bases will be used for the area layout of the GW terrain features. These bases should be treated as the base for the ruins, so drawing line of sight over the bases will count as passing through the ruin. If a terrain feature extends over the Perspex base, this is still treated as part of the ruin for using true line of sight. See the Pariah Nexus Tournament Companion for info on the GW terrain. Make sure you are familiar with the rules for Ruins in the core rulebook for GW terrain.
If there are any issues, contact the TO for clarification.
ENDING GAMES EARLY AND TALKING THROUGH TURNS:
Hopefully, you will be able to finish your games within the time limit.
Due to the nature of missions in 10th edition and the random nature of drawing cards, players are only allowed to talk through the final (5th) turn of the game if they are running low on time. Even if you are using fixed secondaries, you are not allowed to talk through multiple turns of the game.
Only points that are legitimately earned through games should be taken into account when submitting results, therefore determining the winner of the event.
Players should be responsible for their own time management and finishing games on time. The use of chess clocks is allowed for those that wish to use them.
Ideally, a battle should always be played until the end. On occasion, though, one or both players may not be able, or may not wish, to complete the battle. If both players agree to end the battle early, then they can end the battle at a mutually agreed point (we suggest at the end of a battle round). The players can then calculate their final victory points totals, taking into account any objectives achieved so far, to determine the victor. The players who chooses to concede will score Zero (0) points for that round.
PAIRINGS METRICS- Wins, Path to Victory, Battle Points

There will be prizes for the following:
• 1 st place
• 2 nd place
• 3 rd place
• Wooden spoon (player who finishes last after 3 games)
