Tantalising technology, robots, AI. What is our future going to look like? And if we love and protect the natural world that is our home, what will the future look like then?
Meet intergalactic snail riders Sleepy Pete, Rosemary Ripple and Gastro Flash on an interactive journey into the future at Northern Roots!
Into the Future will conjure a futuristic, fantastical and illuminating story, celebrating local artists, community talent and the spirit of Carnival, as night falls over the Northern Roots site.
Created by @Global Grooves, Into the Future will feature drumming, dancing, interactive puppets, storytelling, art installations, fire trail, FREE marshmallow toasting and more!
We hope you’ll join us for a night of magic, fun and celebration.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Northern Roots is located next to Alexandra Park, Oldham. The entrance to this event is just off the bend where Kings Road becomes Honeywell Lane and the best postcode to use is OL82BJ.

The site can be accessed on foot, bike or public transport, and is a 20-minute walk from Oldham town centre.
Free parking is available on Kings Road. Detailed FAQ and event timings will be shared before the event.
