On Friday, May 10th, 2024, at 6:30pm, we invite you to witness the gripping narrative of "Dear Mother: A Climber's Transracial Adoption Story." Follow the incredible journey of Cody Kaemmerlen, a passionate climber adopted from South Korea, as he embarks on a profound quest to reconnect with his birth parents after a life-altering free-soloing accident.
Through breathtaking cinematography and raw storytelling, "Dear Mother" delves into the complexities of identity, family, and the unyielding spirit of exploration. Experience the highs and lows of Cody's pursuit, from the soaring peaks of his climbing expeditions to the emotional depths of his personal discovery.
In addition to the screening, prAna is excited to host a raffle during the event, with all proceeds benefiting Cruxing in Color - an organization dedicated to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion for self-identitified climbers of color.
