About this Event
12:30 PM – 2:00 PM
Speakers: Ruthie Arbit, MA, LICSW & Adena Teitelbaum, Somatic Sexologist
Postpartum brings profound shifts—not just in identity and daily life, but in intimacy, connection, and the way we feel in our bodies. Many individuals and couples struggle with desire, pleasure, or emotional closeness after birth, often feeling disconnected from themselves or their partners. This session, open to the public, offers a compassionate space to explore these changes and learn somatic-based strategies for rebuilding intimacy with confidence and care.
Led by Ruthie Arbit, MA, LICSW, and Adena Teitelbaum, Somatic Sexologist, this workshop moves beyond traditional talk therapy to help participants reconnect with their bodies, heal old narratives, and cultivate deeper, more fulfilling relationships. Adena’s work focuses on embodiment—because intimacy isn’t just something we think about, it’s something we feel. Through guided exercises and real-life practice, you’ll learn how to tune into your body’s wisdom, break free from limiting patterns, and access your full capacity for connection and pleasure.
This is a judgment-free, inclusive space for people of all genders, relationship structures, and backgrounds. Whether you’re a new parent, a partner, a birth worker, or simply curious about deepening intimacy after birth, you are welcome here. Let’s create space for real conversations, embodied healing, and lasting change—together.
This is a hybrid event! Join us in person in Bethesda or virtually from anywhere. No matter how you attend, you’ll gain practical, somatic-based tools to support deeper intimacy and connection.
