Interwoven: Exploring the Power of Woodworking for Self Care
Interwoven: Woodworking for Self Care is a workshop for Special Operation Forces Spouses. This class will offer the opportunity to challenge ourselves by learning new skills in the art of woodworking. Participants will have the opportunity to begin with raw materials and then utilize a number of tools to create their own hand-made laser engraved American Flag.
At this class, you will be led by a master craftsman, learning the fundamentals of woodworking. Enjoy hands-on work with the jointer, planer, table saw, router table, and orbital sander! You will leave with newfound confidence in your ability to use powerful tools in the creation of something both useful and beautiful.

9:00 - 9:15 AM Arrival and Welcome to The Station
9:15 - 12:00 PM Woodworking Class
12:00 - 12:30 PM Break for Lunch
12:30 - 3:30 PM Project Completion
- Please wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Dress for the weather as the woodshop is typically the same temperature as outside.
- Lunch will be prived. A lunch order form will be sent out one week prior to the event.
This is a first come first serve event with a maximum capacity of 10 Spouses. We kindly request a cancellation notice no less than 72 hours prior to the event. Thank you for your consideration.
When registering for an event, all required fields on the order form must be completed in entirety. Incomplete order forms will be canceled. Thank you for your understanding and helping us ensure event security and the highest quality experience possible.
