About this Event

Special Operations Forces Spouses are invited to spend the morning with The Station Foundation for a unique and heartwarming event where you can bring warmth to both your home and share with someone in need. In this special “Make and Take” event, you will learn how to create two cozy, hand-knit chunky blankets.

No prior knitting experience is necessary, making this workshop suitable for beginners to seasoned knitters alike. In just a few hours, you will create a beautiful, soft, and warm blanket for a veteran at Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center in Virginia Beach. At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with enough material to complete a cherished handmade lap blanket at home to serve as a personal reminder of your kindness and contribution.

This is a wonderful opportunity to show gratitude, build community spirit, and provide warmth and comfort to those who have served our country. Come make a difference, build connections, and leave with something warm for your heart and home.
