Interwoven: Couples Yoga with Focused Poses(Practice 2 of 3)

Special Operations Forces Couples are invited to join The Station Foundation for a late afternoon yoga practice together. This class will build upon yoga basics previously taught in week one of this three part series.This Couples class (Practice 2 of 3) will begin with guided breath awareness and a grounding practice. Participants will be introduced to poses that focus on specific areas of the body. Heart openers will offer healthy extension of the spine, and counter poses will balance the gentle extension with flexion for a well rounded stretch. Participants will learn gentle twists that aid digestion and eliminate congestion. Hip openers, standing balancers, and floor poses that provide gentle release of muscular tension and encourage healthy mobility will be explored. Poses will then be sequenced together. Connecting breathwork into specific areas of the body builds awareness, and confidence will grow as the practice builds.This yoga class will cultivate peace of mind and encourage gratitude for having the opportunity to move your body, ground yourself, and share the experience with your partner. Yoga is a wonderful way to boost your mood and decrease stress levels. When you practice with your spouse, you experience both physical connection and shared positive energy.

Event Details:

Yoga mats will be provided; however, you are welcome to bring your own.
Bring a water bottle.
No experience is necessary.
