Interwoven: Between the Lines - The Gift, Book Club for SOF Spouses
Special Operations Forces Spouses are invited to join The Station Foundation for a curated book club as we unpack Edith Eger’s wisdom in The Gift: 14 Lessons to Save Your Life. Through self-reflection and group discussion, participants will gently explore how guilt, unresolved grief, resentment, fear, and judgment inhibit our growth and ability to thrive in life. Perspective-taking tools and daily gratitude practices will alleviate stress and feelings of loneliness, isolation, unworthiness, or despair. Authentic sharing and discussion will build trust and enhance personal growth as we learn these lessons of hope and courage together.
Participants will be expected to have completed the first two chapters of The Gift prior to our second meeting. Please note that The Station Foundation will provide a copy of The Gift to all participants. Books may be picked up at COSCITY Hub on Thursday, February 20, anytime between 10:00 am and 11:30 am.
This book club will meet four (4) times over the course of a month, and we ask that you commit to all sessions before registering. Your commitment to completing the readings and discussion questions will foster beautiful personal growth and healing that will set a healthy trajectory for 2025.
Through this symbolic novel, we will:

Reflect on our mindset and how we view our struggles
Establish greater appreciation for our circumstances
Evaluate our inner dialogue and how it shapes our self-worth
Choose how we respond to conflict
Cultivate gratitude

During each session, participants will share coffee, engage in meaningful conversation, and grow deeper in a rich community with other spouses.

Event Details:

A copy of The Gift: 14 Lessons to Save Your Life will be provided along with a journal for each registered participant.
Books will be distributed on February 20, 2025, between 10 and 11.30 am at City Hub Colorado Springs. Come grab your book and hot drink on us.
To ensure the quality of our conversation and the most significant program impact, we kindly ask that you come prepared to discuss each session's reading assignment and complete the corresponding journal questions.
By registering for this event, you are committing to attend all four sessions. Thank you for your consideration.

Additionally, please note that childcare is not available for this event, and children may not attend. Thank you for respecting this policy as it ensures a space free of distractions for the attendees.
