The Meskwaki People have been part of the Iowa landscape since the 1700s. Although they have long been our neighbors, many of us know little about the heritage or current interests of the Meskwaki Nation. Joan Flecksing, Director of the Meskwaki Nation Department of Natural Resources, will share information on the tribe’s history, tribal sovereignty and self-determination, federal partnerships, and tribal operations. She will also discuss land management and the tribe’s water quality standards and concerns.
There are three ways to attend Intersections. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲:
𝟭) 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 (𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵) 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘: https://interfaithallianceiowa.ourpowerbase.net/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=263. Three boxed lunch options are available for $15: turkey & swiss on ciabatta, roast beef & cheddar on wheatberry, and garden veggie salad. You must pre-order and pay for your lunch by 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 2. Late orders or walk-in requests for lunch will not be available.
