On November 19, 1997, the Director General of the General Post Office held an international press conference to officially announce Vietnam’s connection to the global Internet, and issue legal and policy documents managing Internet services in Vietnam. In 2012, Vietnam Internet Association initiated an annual event called Internet Day. Throughout the more-than-ten-year journey, Internet Day has received robust advocacy from Vietnam’s Internet community, accelerating the development of the Internet and digital transformation in Vietnam.
