Join us for Derby’s biggest annual volunteer-powered women's rights event. Be part of our FREE (donations appreciated) popular, inspiring, multicultural, award-winning International Women's Day Derby Festival with performances, empowering speakers, campaigns, film screenings, craftivism, showcasing women's causes, sports and enterprise, and family fun. You can discover local services, women's support and social groups, plus you’ll also meet lots of inspiring trailblazers such as women who are firefighters, artists, politicians, rugby players, scientists, engineers, business owners, changemakers and stereotype-busters in typically male-dominated fields. Open to all supporters, all genders, families welcome, inclusive, good vibes. 1-5pm, Saturday 8th March 2025 at the Museum of Making - drop by any time during the event.
Accessible venue, ground floor, level access with accessible toilet facilities. BSL provided thanks to Derby City Council support. Quiet space available.

12pm Saturday 8th March: March for Women's Liberation - all supporters, all genders and families welcome.
Meet at 12pm at The Spot rings, St Peters St, Derby DE1 2AD
We will carry a community-made banner thanks to Spiral Arts, and you are welcome to bring your banners too! We will march through the city and head into the event for 1pm at the Museum of Making via Cathedral Green.
Friday 7th March: event to launch our Derby Speaks Up campaign, including a film, urging local policy-makers to put more funds into early intervention behaviour change programmes to address domestic/partner abuse thanks to funder Rosa UK, plus a creative night of expression and open mic - watch this space for more info coming soon.
