Losing a loved one to suicide means navigating a traumatic and complicated grief journey. Join West Michigan Survivors of Suicide Loss for our annual International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event to learn more about how to create space and time for your own self-care."Healing After Suicide Loss: Self Care Matters" is the theme of our 2024 event, which will feature a variety of practitioners and experts sharing ways survivors can take care of themselves while tending to so many emotions and steps after loss. From yoga to art, and therapy to faith, attendees will learn about unique ways survivors have found to support healing. We are honored to welcome Ben Taylor, MA as this year's keynote speaker. Ben has been a highlight of our last two events, combining his thoughtful perspective as a clinician and a pastor to fill audiences with hope and understanding.
The event will be held in the community event room at the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan. Please enter the large building on the southeast corner. Look for West Michigan of Suicide Loss banner flags at the door. You are welcome to bring a photo of your loved one(s) to display at your table.
