Noravisionsolarmetaverse Guardians, Virtual Hug

Exploring the interplay between physical and virtual realms, "Virtual Hug" merges ceramic sculptures from the "Guardians and Parallels" project with immersive digital experiences. Inspired by African and Asian physiology, the expressive heads adorned with vegetal ornamentation echo Gaudi's architectural intricacies.

The exhibition blurs the lines between reality and imagination, as tangible sculptures transform into virtual entities, narrating hidden stories through sound, mimics, and gestures. Visitors might witness the sculptures spring to life on tablets or phones, singing, speaking, and embracing within their own narrative, presenting historical personalities or citations taken from film industries, such as Malefique, African Queen, The sleeping warrior, Marguerite de Valois, Passolini, Prince, le Grand Vide…

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the terra-cotta sculptures, ranging from mid-sized to large ones. Each sculpture carries a unique story, intertwining personal narratives with historical and cinematic references as integral part of the immersive experience, the exhibition incorporates elements of virtual (XR) reality, using Gaussian Splats Technology. By blending personal stories with historical and cultural heritage, the artist payed homage to the European Year of Cultural Heritage .

The exhibition's physical setting is meticulously curated, with sculptures placed on pre-fabricated bricks and interstitial pods, inviting viewers to explore the intricate details of each piece. The "Guardians" series evoke a sense of ancestral wisdom and guardianship.

The Virtual Hug, conceptualized in 2018, became relevant in 2021 as part of the life experience of Covid and actually achievable with the development of artificial intelligence (3D scan, AI model, Sora, DEOVR company...). Virtual Embrace invites the viewer to bridge the gap between the past and present, tangible and virtual, and to surrender to a unique experience of harmonious integration of art, history, and technology.

The exhibition is associated with a presentation on the Spatial platform, which includes 3D models of ceramic and polyester sculptures and NFTs along with videos from the Noravisionsolarmetaverse solar panel painting project, where you are invited to meet even after the physical presentations conclude.
