Join us for a FREE evening event as we observe and learn more about the Moon on October 4th, from 6-9pm!International Observe the Moon Night is a worldwide public event that encourages observation, appreciation and understanding of our Moon and its connection to space science, exploration, and human culture. This annual event connects scientists, educators and lunar enthusiasts from around the world.
International Observe the Moon Night is sponsored by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) mission and the Solar System Exploration Division at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, with many contributors. LRO is managed by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, for the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

International Observe the Moon Night at the Science Dome will include lots of hands-on activities for all ages, a chance to use some telescopes with the guidance of the Tacoma Astronomical Society, and FREE shows in the Science Dome!
Advanced reservations are not required for the Dome shows, but are encouraged. Click the ticket link to register ahead of time. Shows will take place approximately every 40 minutes, but we do not have a strict schedule and showtimes may vary depending on attendance. When you get to the event, check in with an ambassador in the Science Dome lobby.
