About this Event
The International Museum of Surgical Science (IMSS), a division of the International College of Surgeons in Chicago, is pleased to announce a fun family-day filled with presentations, tours, and activities on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 from 10AM-5PM.
This year’s Family Day is held in conjunction with the exhibition “Health in Space: Daring to Explore,” a captivating exhibition which examines the mysteries of astronauts’ health challenges while living and working in space, including the effects of variable gravity, radiation, and isolation. The day will feature two special guest presentations; Eric Dean Spruth (MA, ATR) Art and Horticulture Therapist and Danielle DiCristofano (RD, LDN) Registered Dietitian will present at 12pm and, at 2pm, we’ll hear from Dr. Jerry Myers, from the NASA Glenn Research Center.
Your ticket will also give you access to the museum’s entire permanent exhibition, and rotating contemporary art installations. This is the perfect opportunity for adults and kids to spend the day learning and exploring together.
Tickets are $10 for adults (ages 17+) and $5 for children under 17. Military, seniors, and children under 3 are free, and will be honored at the door.
