Come join us at the Sterling Natural Resource Center for a day dedicated to celebrating men and boys!
International Men’s Day, recognized globally on November 19th, celebrates the positive value men bring to the world, their families, and their communities. It’s an opportunity to highlight positive male role models, raise awareness of men’s challenges, and promote the importance of men’s health and wellness.
This year’s theme is “Celebrate Men and Boys.” IMD encourages men to teach the young men in their lives the values, character, and responsibilities of being a man. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “We must become the change we seek.” This free event welcomes men and boys of all ages, races, and backgrounds from across our community.
Our program will feature knowledgeable and inspiring speakers covering the following areas:
1. The History of International Men’s Day
2. Public Recognition of Men in Our Communities (First Responders, Military/Veterans, Public Officials, Pastors/Clergy, etc.)
3. Recognizing the Challenges Men Face
4. Promoting Men’s Health and Wellness in Four Key Areas:
• Mental Health and Wellness
• Physical Health and Wellness
• Social Health and Wellness
• Spiritual Health, Wellness, and Purpose
5. Presentations from Young Men – “Manhood Quotes” and Spoken Word Challenges
Attendees will also enjoy food, beverages, music, and other activities throughout the evening. Let's come together to appreciate the contributions and achievements of men and boys in our community. Don't miss out on this special day of recognition and celebration!
