John is a jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader known for his highly accomplished jazz, Latin, pop, and rock playing. He has performed widely in the UK and abroad, leading and collaborating in a range of duos, trios, and larger ensembles. He is the founder of the award-winning Cuban jazz-salsa group Heads South, praised for its dynamic live performances and infectious rhythms. Mike Stock is an accomplished bassist whose career has taken him from the UK to Los Angeles, Oslo, and back, performing with artists including Kenny Jones (The Who), Mike Rutherford (Genesis), and Paul Young (Sad Café). A Grove School of Music scholarship graduate, he studied with bass legends Joel Di Bartolo, Tom Warrington, and Jeff Berlin, as well as arranger Dick Grove, later continuing advanced improvisation studies with Charlie Banacos and Garry Dial. Alongside an active performing career spanning jazz, commercial, and TV work, Mike is a sought-after educator, committed to the lifelong pursuit of musical knowledge. www.mikestockbass.com
