Bring your device to the Media Lab at Hurstville Library and learn how to create your own video game in Unity using its Visual Scripting feature.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Unity, a cross-platform game engine.
In this session, you will learn to:
· Navigate using Unity, including its interface, structure, and workflow.
· Using Visual Scripting in Unity to create game behaviour such as movement, collision detection, and keeping score in a game.
· Making in-game user interfaces in Unity.
About the facilitator:
Albert Ong is the founder of Tinkery, an edTech social startup aiming to make hands on learning accessible through creative prototyping kits and courses.
Albert has over a decade of experience as a hybrid mechatronics engineer, biotechnologist and interaction designer, and has worked on a range of industry and research projects ranging from art installations at Vivid Sydney, rehabilitative games and exoskeletons, bioreactors, drones, makerspaces, industrial robots, facility management systems, green architecture, and speculative and futures design projects.
