Structural defences are fine and well – however, not much withstands nature and after all the latest storm devastation around the world we still need sufficient rescue resources and capabilities that are planned AND available at a moments notice – which is why we need “Floodfighters” ready to respond.You cannot create these resources out of thin air when needed – flood rescue is one of the highest risk activities.
