Aims to reduce stigma & discrimination regarding problematic drug use in families & raise importance of families in drug policy discussions.About this Event
Join us in Brisbane to mark International Family Drug Support Day, alongside events being held across Australia and internationally throughout February 2026.
International Family Drug Support Day began in 2016 to shine a light on the vital role of families affected by alcohol and/or other drug use, and the powerful impact that education, awareness and practical support can have. When families are supported to cope, stay safe and feel less alone, outcomes improve for everyone.
This year’s theme — See the Person, Not the Drug — invites us to look beyond substance use and recognise the humanity, dignity and lived experience of people and families affected by alcohol and other drugs (AOD).
You’ll hear from a stellar line-up of speakers, sharing insights and perspectives from across the AOD and harm-reduction space.
