Big, fat, steamed or deep fried and filled with jam, Taste and Liquors’ International Dumpling Festival returns back to Digbeth for the third year! The UK has always been a great dumpling town. But recent developments have thrust the dough balls further into the spotlight: In October 2018, Taste and Liquors’ International Dumpling Festival made its debut in Digbeth Birmingham, historically a street -food hot zone that’s gradually transitioned from pierogi, Jamaican fried dumplings, kofta to gyoza and xiao long bao xiao over the years.And now Taste and Liquor bring together the worlds diverse dumplings the UK can find across two days. The Award Winning team will present the UK’s third International Dumpling Festival 2020 on Saturday 10 October and Sunday 11 October at Quantum Events Space in Digbeth for a dumpalicious day!

So many foods can be categorized as dumplings — samosas, tamales, empanadas, Cornish pasties, sticky toffee pudding! — that it’s almost easier to say what isn’t a dumpling than what is, but let’s take a trip around the world in dumplings to find out who has the best dumplings in the globe. Take your taste buds on a global journey and explore the great world of dumplings. At the end of your odyssey, unravel the mystery of the dumpling or just get stuck in and let your taste-buds explode.
It’s a fact of life that dumplings are one of the world’s best-loved comfort foods. These mouth-watering morsels of cooked dough – deep fried into a shell or steamed in a stew – appear in the culinary culture of almost every country and as such, one person’s idea of what constitutes a dumpling can be very different from the next and Taste and Liquors’ International Dumpling Festival address this vital fact!
The festival has collaborated with a number of fantastic street-food vendors to curate a mouth-watering new menu of dumplings and other fare. With each cook only using the freshest ingredients, making every product by hand to ensure you’ll love their dumplings as much as we do. Alongside this there is a fully stocked bar serving cocktails, mocktails and more, DJs ready to play all your favourite tunes and 80’s retro arcade games. One for all the family to enjoy!
It may be a pocket filled with dough but everyone has a favourite. Be it sweet, savoury, stewed or boiled Taste and Liquor & The International Dumpling Festival celebrates this fat mouthful of mouth-watering deliciousness.
The International Dumpling Festival, a tasty street food festival serving dumplings in multiple ethnic variations. Opened all day-to-night from 12pm to 7pm (last orders 6pm) on October 12th – 13th at Quantum in Digbeth, Birmingham.
