International DOJOTO seminar11 - 12 May 2024, Sofia
We invite you to one different Aikido seminar!
❓ What distinguishes it?
✅ There is no combat-applied orientation
Our Aikido style is not applicable on the street because it has other goals - to develop character, to transmit values, to train in partnership, to teach harmony. There is nothing harmonious about street fighting, and it is not a goal for us. We believe that we have outgrown the drive for physical survival, and what we really need today is awareness, personal development, and connection with those around us.
✅ Partnership
In Aikido, there are initially no competitions, and we use this to teach in partnership. For us, the techniques are a means of learning to work together and achieve harmonious relationships, even when they begin with an attack.
✅ Dynamics
We do not accept the widely propagated "Aikido is for everyone, regardless of age, weight, physique abilities". Our training sessions are very dynamic and definitely not for "everyone". But for people who are ready to constantly challenge themselves, explore their limits and expand their capabilities - physically and mentally.
✅ Learning by personal example.
For us as the founders of the school and for all the coaches we choose to teach, it is a prerequisite that they continue their active practice. Because personal example is most important to us when we teach both children and adults.
✅ Education in values
For us, Aikido is development. Not only for the body, but also for the character. But the body is the closest to us, it is the one with which we meet every second and precisely through it we can realize the most about ourselves. We use physical exercises and Aikido techniques to explain universally applicable principles. And we verbalize these explanations to get out of the world of mysticism and go into awareness.
👨👩👧👦 For DOJOTO members, the seminar is the most important event. The moment we go outside the physical Dojo, we exchange between the trainees from the two bases and see if the things we do with 10 children can happen with 100. For the trainees, it is an opportunity to show what they have learned in front of the most important audience - their parents, and for the parents - to see what their children are doing. Тo get to know and recall the ideas of the Dojo, which have a much wider meaning than physical training.

👫 For all guests, this is an opportunity to get to know a different school. No matter what the main style you practice, the seminar will enrich you and give you a different perspective. For partnership as a means to connect with the person aside and discipline as a means to connect with the whole group. To realize that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves. And to belong to the community.
WORKSHOP:
In the DOJO, we make workshops through which we explain to the Mind the ideas we implement with the Body. We enrich our overall understanding of Harmony and Oneness through other forms of experience.
Topic: "Me and us. The transformation from Ego Consciousness to Citizen of the Universe.”
During the workshop, we will explain in detail and create one of the most significant symbols representing the "tribe" in almost all nations - our beloved Kanatitsa. This time it will be in the form of a bracelet, which children will be able to exchange with each other and leave a warm memory of their cooperation.
DEMONSTRATION:
Aikido is an art. And like any art, its purpose is to bring beauty and inspiration! It blooms when it is shown! Aikidokas will have the opportunity to demonstrate their art to a larger audience - their parents and guests and show what they have learned. Each group from DOJOTO and guest clubs will have 5 minutes available for their own demonstration - with or without music.
DINNER FOR CHILDREN AND PARENTS WITH THE SENSEI:
Aikido teaches harmony, understanding and friendship between people, regardless of their nationality. To make this happen in practice, we organize a dinner for all participants, where the children will have the opportunity to spend more time together - to play, get to know each other and make friends. Parents will also have the opportunity to make new friends in the face of other parents, and also to talk to the senseis and senpais - to get to know them, ask their questions and get to know their plans and ideas for the future.

10:00 - 11:00 - training group A
11:30 - 11:30 - training group B
16:00 - 17:00 - studio group A
17:30 - 18:30 - studio group B
Sunday:
10:00 - 11:00 - general training group A and B
11:00 - 12:00 - Demonstrations
18:00 - dinner for children, parents and sensei
For each announced class, attendance is required 20 minutes in advance!
The division of children into groups will be announced before the event.
PRICES:
General participants: 60 eu / BGN 120
DOJOTO members with a monthly subscription:
Early registration until 31.03: 30 eu/ BGN 60
Regularly after 31.03: 45 eu/ BGN 90
Insurance*: 15 eu/ BGN 30
*Refunds for cancellations up to 24 hours before the event.
In its absence, amounts paid are not refunded!
90% of the fees of the participants - guests go to the club that brings the children.
ACCOMMODATION OF VISITING GROUPS:
Our guests from abroad and from other cities will be accommodated in host families. The commitment of the family that takes a child with them is to provide them with accommodation, food and care during the stay as well as leading the training activities.
Every family that accepts a child receives FREE participation in the seminar!
