📌About the Event:
From 9 to 14 October 2025, MECAM will host a week of international exchange, research, and collaboration.
• International Conference (10–11 Oct): The concluding event of the Postcolonial Hierarchies in Peace and Conflict network brings together scholars, partner institutions, and local experts to examine postcolonial dynamics of violence, governance, security, and transformative justice. Participants will explore how historical and contemporary structures shape conflict and peacebuilding today.
• Merian Family Meeting (12–13 Oct): For the first time in Tunisia, the five Merian Centres worldwide will gather to share research, discuss knowledge diplomacy, and co-create strategies for South–South–North cooperation. Inspired by the historic 1955 Bandung Conference, the program will focus on elevating local and multilingual knowledge systems, promoting equitable scientific partnerships, and positioning the Global South as a central co-producer of knowledge.
