About this Event
Join us for the 2024 International Coastal Cleanup at Shell Key Preserve, a hidden gem of Florida’s Gulf Coast! On September 21, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, we’ll take a scenic ferry ride from Fort DeSoto Park to this pristine 1,828-acre archipelago. Once on Shell Key, we’ll work together to remove trash and debris from the beaches, helping to protect the delicate ecosystems and ensure this crucial habitat remains a safe haven for wildlife. We need your help—volunteer with us to clean our beaches and protect the ocean and wildlife. We would love to share this beautiful moment for our coasts together!
In Partnership with a Global Movement:
In partnership with volunteer organizations and individuals around the globe, the International Coastal Cleanup® (ICC) engages people to remove trash from the world’s beaches and waterways. Since its inception more than 35 years ago, the ICC has mobilized over 17 million volunteers who have collected more than 350 million pounds of trash. This global effort has become a beacon of hope, leading and inspiring action in support of our oceans. Learn more about ICC Day here.
