We are pleased have the with us the Deputy Lord Mayor Paul Doherty, Relatives of the International Brigade from Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, the United States- Lincoln Brigade and hopefully Spain and Germany. Jim Jump, Chairperson of the IBMT, Gerry Murphy Assistant General Secretary of the ICTU. Speakers Interspersed with singing/music.
Doors open at 5.30pm, take some time to view the IBMT stained glass window and others that depict historic events of our city. Drinks reception from 5.45 with the opening event starting 6.30.
This is the opening event for the weekend of activities to mark the AGM being hosted in Belfast by the IBCC. See the IBCC and IBMT web page for the programme. Book your buffet meal with for for Friday in the Fountain Bar 8.45pm -bus tour Sat morning, AGM Unite office. Sat afternoon. Some great singers in the Dockers Club Saturday night. Sunday morning too see the programme and book events.
