About interMISSION
Sponsored by Design Trust HK, interMISSION is a monthly event series that encompasses game play, design workshops, and industry seminars. Bridging the gap between annual Games for Change APAC HK events, it showcases the uniqueness of Hong Kong game design to the world.
About Games for Change and Games for Change APAC
Founded in 2004, the Games for Change Festival is an annual conference in New York City that brings together social innovators and changemakers across sectors to imagine, inspire and ignite the future of social impact gaming and immersive media.
Now it operates a suite of different events, projects and initiatives, including: the flagship Games for Change Festival; G4C Learn, a collection of education-themed events, e.g. the G4C Student Challenge, the Game Exchange, XR Hackathons, and other educator programs; social impact initiatives e.g. Raising Good Gamers and XR for Change; and the annual Games for Change Awards.
In 2021, the first Games for Change Asia-Pacific Festival was held in Melbourne as a hybrid event, with the G4C APAC team headquartered in Australia. In its two-year history, G4C APAC has featured creators across the region, including Singapore, Malaysia, India, Japan, Australia and Hong Kong, with Press Start Academy having presented a total of four keynote speeches and case studies, as well as kicking off the conference remotely in 2022.
