About this Event
In this workshop, we will take your stained glass process to the next level. Learn about new ways of incorporating your ideas into glass. We will explore imagery on glass by way of enamels and glass powders, discover the process of 3D sculpture, add fused elements to your projects, and more. Bring your ideas for a panel to class and discover how to up your game!
What to Expect: This class focuses on the historic techniques of painting on glass traditionally used in stained glass windows. Students will fire several paintings under 10” in any direction, but will not be instructed on assembling work into a stained glass window. Read more about how to prepare for class on our Registration Info page.
While working in stained glass, participants engage in seated activities such as cutting and assembling glass pieces. Handling glass and tools may require a certain level of dexterity. Learn more about accessibility on our website.
Eligibility: This is an intermediate level class, previous experience with stained glass required. Open to ages 14 and up.
Pick-up: You can expect to bring some work to fruition during class that can be taken home at the end of class. If anything is made on the last day of class, students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.
This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
We recommend registering for classes early to reserve your spot! We base materials, and teacher needs off of student enrollment. Early registration not only guarantees your spot in class, but also helps to ensure the class will run. Classes with low enrollment may be cancelled within two weeks of the start date of class. Contact our Registrar of Education, Ari Eshoo, at [email protected] if you have questions about the class or would like to arrange a payment plan.
