About this Event
“My soul is fed with needle and thread”
This is a day of sewing with your sewing machine and making a pari of epadrille shoes.
Who is this day for?
This day is for for those who are confident using their sewing machine and like hand sewing. Making espadrilles has a great deal of hand sewing involved. You may have completed one of Steph's classes and are ready to move on to more complex makes or you may want to be part of social sewing and enjoy the fun of creating with a group of like minded people.
What will I make during the day?
The 5 hour day day (half an hour is allowed for lunch and a bit of time either end of the day for set up and clear up) is held in a room in Westbury Arts Centre where we will have plenty of space to learn and make.
You will make a pair of espadrilles. Steph will guide you through every step in this relaxed, informal and fun day.
This workshop is about immersing yourself in the joy of creativity, ditching perfectionism and embracing the fun of creating. Steph has over 35 years experience of sewing and making things and is keen to share her love of making and creating so please join her for the chance to learn, make and grow.
