About this Event
This NEW 4-week mini course builds upon the foundation built in Beginner Pottery Experience.
Further develop technical skills through teacher directed practice. In this edition of I.P.E. participants will focus on mugs, pitchers, and creamers! This includes learning to make strong handles and functional spouts and trimming a stable foot. Students learn to glaze with one color and one dip using the M.P.V.A. catalog of glazes. Again, the focus is on learning and practicing strong pottery skills. Students will save the best of their work to keep coming away with 4-6 pieces total.
Required skills for this mini course include being able to consistently center clay and pull 4” cylinders. Students will not be taught how to center. Most students need to take several sessions of beginning pottery before they are ready to try more complex forms. Please consider carefully!
Tools and clay are provided. Intermediate students may wish to purchase a set of basic pottery tools for your newfound hobby! $70
