About this Event
Create your own beautiful paper lantern to shine a warm light during the winter.
Classes taught by Orcas artists and welcome sign ups.
Intermediate meet for 2 - 4 hr sessions. No fee to participate.
Build structures on day one, paper and waterproof on day two, ages 12 and up with arts experience.
Donations for materials welcome.
Note: This workshop starts at Odd Fellows on Nov 30 and concludes at the High School cafeteria on 12/14. 4 hr sessions each day. 8 hrs total. Odds is 10-2 and Cafeteria is 11-3. RSVP required for this more advanced class.
The Orcas community Winter Solstice Parade is Saturday, December 21st and November is a good time to get started on your lantern – or lanterns. Make your own, or form a contingent with a special theme.
