Meet under the pavilion at or before 9:30 for an immediate departure. CHAINED SPIKE CRAMPONS REQUIRED. Intermediate Hike to Devil’s Punchbowls with advanced extension option to Felkers & Billy Green Falls.
Part A: Plan for 2-3 hours depending on group lingering. We will be taking the Bruce Trail to both Lower & Upper Devil’s Punchbowls. Terrain in uneven with rocks and roots and some sloping hills.
Part B: advanced extension to Felkers Falls & Billy Green Falls via Bruce and side trails. Prepare for another 3-5 hours, depending on whether you wish to do both falls.
Free parking at Battlefield Monument & Park in Stoney Creek (77 King Street W off Centennial Pkwy).
Pace will be moderate with planned stops for picture taking and snacks. There will be rocks and roots, slush, ice, snow and mud, some ascents and descents.
REQUIRED:
- Crampons
- Water for drinking (suggested 1-2L) & snacks
-waterproof gloves if scrambling
-proper winter attire- you could be outside for 2-8 hours so a waterproof layer is also suggested.
- GPS or wayfinding system. In case you accidentally get separated, you need to be prepared to find your own way back to your vehicle.

* This is a LEAVE NO TRACE hike. Prepare to take all garbage, toilet paper and anything else you bring or use along the way out with you. There may not be any garbage cans or toilets. Prepare for bio breaks accordingly.
