The Interior Architecture and Design National Award Winners exhibition features design work from members of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design that won top national honors over the last two years.
The exhibition will be on display from Sept. 16 through Oct. 18 on the first floor of Vol Walker Hall, on the University of Arkansas campus. This is part of the public exhibition series in the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design.
The exhibition will include work from the Interior Architecture and Design National Award Winners, materials from recent national grants by interior architecture and design faculty and recent student work across the curriculum using 3D printing and innovative weaving techniques.
The full lineup of exhibit work is:

Donghia Foundation Senior Scholarship Winners
Olivia Everett and Cassie Roberts, both fourth-year students, each received the $30,000 Senior Student Scholarship Award this year from the Angelo Donghia Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes design education.
The Donghia Foundation Inc. was established by the late Angelo Donghia, an internationally recognized interior design icon and source of inspiration to the design world. This scholarship is the largest and most prestigious award within interior design education.

Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship Winners
Annie Carter won the prestigious Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship in 2024, and Jason Côté won the Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship in 2023. For this scholarship, they each were awarded $5,000 to go toward their education. In addition, Côté, who graduated in May, was invited to participate in a two-month fellowship in summer 2023 at the Gensler offices in Las Vegas. Carter is a fourth-year student.
Gensler is a global design and architecture firm founded in San Francisco, California, in 1965. The Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship was established in 1999 as a memorial to Don Brinkmann, an inspirational and gifted interior designer who personified the essence of design, vision and leadership, according to the Gensler website.

American Society of Interior Designers National Scholarship Competition Winner
Isabel Provisor Lemery, who graduated in May, was selected as a winner in the 2024 Student Portfolio Competition hosted by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She was among three students selected from nine finalists across the country as winners in this year's ASID Student Portfolio Competition.

Metropolis Magazine Future 100 Honorees
Isabel Provisor Lemery and Lacey Oxford, who graduated in May, were among 100 design students selected by Metropolis magazine for the Future100 list in 2024. Emily Creek and Audrey Pace were selected for the 2023 Future100 list. Creek and Pace graduated in 2023.
With the Future100 program, Metropolis has set out to designate the top graduating architecture and interior design students in the United States and Canada each year. Nominated by their instructors and mentors, 50 interior design and 50 architecture the Metropolis team chooses students from undergraduate and graduate programs for the annual list.

Interior Design Educators Council’s 2024 Student Design Competition
Morgan Clupka, Olivia Harris, Mary Newberry and Madison Smith received an honorable mention in the Interior Design Educators Council’s 2024 Student Design Competition. Jinoh Park, assistant professor of interior architecture and design, served as their faculty mentor for the competition.

In addition to the award-winning student work, the exhibition will feature work from recent national grants by interior architecture and design faculty: Jake Tucci, Jinoh Park, Torrey Tracy, Lynn Fitzpatrick, Kim Furlong and Jennifer Webb. It will also feature students’ 3D printing and innovative weaving work from across the curriculum.
Admission to the exhibition is free. The exhibition is located on the first floor of Vol Walker Hall, and it is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
