The Masjid Al Hayy Outreach Team cordially invites you to our 5th Annual Interfaith Iftar for a meal that transcends generational, cultural, social, and religious differences. Iftar, or "breaking the fast" is an important Holy act for Muslims during the sacred month of Ramadan. Join us and engage with people of diverse faiths speak on their unique spiritual experiences, participate in meaningful conversations, and celebrate our united Interfaith Community with a festive meal. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Andrea Guzman, Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at UCF and Sheikh Ayub Rashid, a seasoned lecturer of Islam from the United Kingdom, as our guest speakers. This year, our theme is “acquiring knowledge”. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was quoted to have wisely stated, “Seek knowledge from the cradle to grave”. We will be recognizing the efforts made by educators across seminole County. Join us alongside county officials and teachers as we celebrate our solidarity on this special occasion. It is our sincere hope that you join us for this incredibly special evening! Please note that dinner will be served at sundown, which marks the end of the fast.We kindly request you to dress modestly to maintain the sanctity of the mosque. Hijab/scarves for women will be available at the registration desk.
