About this Event

Faith, Democracy, and Civic Engagement

This year, we will gather to recognize our awardees, enjoy a multicultural meal, and be led by our keynote presentation into civic action. The Interfaith Center of Northeast Florida is excited to have Dr. Natalie A. Ghosn, Esq as our keynote speaker for our 2023 Interfaith Dinner. In addition to a B.A., J.D./LL.B., and LL.M. in International Law, Dr. Natalie A. Ghosn, Esq. holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and International Political Economy from the University of Miami. She has been an attorney with the Florida Bar since 2010, specializing in international criminal law and an academic in Nova Scotia at Dalhousie University. Natalie has interned in the legal department of the Florida Campaign for Change Headquarters for President Obama as well as at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague, The Netherlands. Natalie also completed a doctoral research position in the Department of Political Science at the University of Miami and has lectured on a wide variety of topics.

2024 Interfaith Awards

Emerging Leadership Award - This award recognizes an emerging member of the northeast Florida community who has demonstrated leadership in interfaith understanding or activism.

  • 2024 Award winner: Yanira "Yaya" Cardona, Hispanic Outreach Coordinator, Mayor's Office


Mutual Curiosity Award --This award recognizes and celebrates an exemplary effort to build mutual curiosity in northeast Florida around matters of interfaith concern.

  • 2024 Award winner: The Very Rev. Katherine B. (Kate) Moorehead Carroll, St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral


Community Education Award - This award recognizes those who have made a large contribution to our local community through involvement in community service, organized projects, and/or promoted diversity while still striving for excellence in community service projects.

  • 2024 Award winner: Dr. David Jamison, Edwards Waters University
