A ‘Battle’ is one form of external competition between 2 or more local photographic societies. A pre-agreed number of prints and projected images from each club are adjudicated by an impartial external judge.All competitions will have a single judge who will normally be external to the Society. Each image is given a rating up to 20 and the club with the highest aggregate score wins. Our society’s images for battles are usually selected from the previous seasons placed images.
This is a great opportunity for members to showcase their images and receive constructive feedback from a judge with a view of receiving pointers on how you may improve your images. It's only the judges option at the end of the day, fellow members are also available to provide you with feedback on your images should you wish to seek this out.
