DECEMBER WORKSHOP
ARTIST: Helio Oiticica
THEME: Colour
Let's keep connected! I'd like to invite you to take your favourite mug and make a nice cup of tea or coffee for another online meet up.
Please join us on time, as I'll start with a meditation. Then I'll introduce the artist of the month before we go on a quick poetry writing exercise. We'll get inspiration from an artist or artwork to embark on our individual collages with everyday materials you have at home.
Structure of the sessions:
Mindfulness > Poetry > Artist > Art Movement > Activities
These sessions start with poetry and collaborative discussion, before embarking on your art project inspired by an artist/ arts movement.
Collaborations and skills exchange between members are encouraged. Please bring something to share - thoughts, (your own) poetry/ artwork!
This is a space to make art and write stuff while having a cup of tea and engaging in nice conversations.
Materials:
Some materials will be provided ( A4 or scrap paper, pencil/ pen, rubber, glue, scissors, watercolour, cereal boxes, fruit nets, coffee and rice packing and flower petals, etc).
Please bring any additional up-cycle materials you may have at home and would like to use!
You’re encouraged to share something with the group (thoughts, poetry, stories, your own artworks...).
Facilitator:
Our host is participatory artist, writer and educator Sylvia Morgado, who encourages collaborations and skills exchange between members.
Every workshop is carefully planned with love and attention to bring you moments of relaxation while learning and exchanging with the group!
INTERATIVOS is a lovely community promoting values of wellbeing and personal empowerment in an atmosphere free of judgement or competition and takes place at the lovely The Create Place, in Bethnal Green, London.
