The Civic Engagement Center of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca, in collaboration with the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission and Babeș-Bolyai University, is welcoming you to the third edition of “Interactive Lectures with Fulbrighters: Sharing Ideas for Global Education”, an event aiming to promote exchange of ideas and good practices in research and education among Fulbright scholars and members of the Romanian academic community.When: May 28, 2024, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca, Street Calea Mănăștur 5-7, building Life Sciences Institute, Amphitheatre “Regina Maria”.
Invited speakers:
• Rebecca T. Davis, PhD, Associate Professor at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey – New Brunswick, U.S. Fulbright Scholar in Romania 1992-1994 and Fulbright Grantee for the academic year 2024-2025. Title of presentation: “Global Community Engagement, Positionality, and Reflexivity”
• Mark Russell, PhD, Professor, Agricultural Sciences Education and Communication, Purdue University, Fulbright Specialist in Romania 2024. Title of presentation:“Engaged Scholarship of Experiential Learning”.
The hosts of the event are Fulbright Ambassador Alina S. Rusu (Professor and coordinator of the Civic Engagement Center at USAMV Cluj-Napoca) and Fulbright Alumnus Mihai Bogdan Iovu (Associate Professor, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, UBB).
