About this Event
'Wallflowers | Somerset' is an interactive art project highlighting the hidden sights and sounds of the Somerset area through the eyes of everyday Singaporeans & people in Singapore.
Over the course of 2 months, participants have been invited to explore the off-beaten areas around Somerset and look for inspiration in the ordinary.
This interactive art exhibition showcases how they have translated their unique experience of Somerset into different art, music and video creations.
Visitors are invited to view the different creations, and can choose to partake in various activities around the exhibition are, and leave their own marks in this community art showcase.

Dates: 7th to 15th January 2023, in conjunction with Singapore Art Week
Opening Hours: 12 noon to 7 pm, last walk-in at 6.30 pm

Walk-ins welcome! However, you may wish to RSVP your day tickets via this Eventbrite page, so that our gallery sitters can look out for you and guide you through the interactive activities for a more engaging experience.

About Wallflowers: Sights & Sounds of Singapore | Somerset
‘Wallflowers: Sights & Sounds of Singapore’ is a project encouraging Singaporeans to rediscover the beauty in their everyday lives. Supported by the National Arts Council, a team of creatives from the local arts scene have gathered to contribute different facets that make up this cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Altogether, Wallflowers consists of a sound collection, a video series, music tracks created by local music producers, as well as visual art in the form of found objects and location-based art installations.
The collaborators of the Wallflowers project hope to encourage Singaporeans to pay greater attention to their daily environments and rediscover the beauty of the little things in life.
