The Boulder Junction Public Library will be hosting an Interactive Book Walk on Saturday, October 11 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Boulder Junction Public Library, Reading Garden, and Boulder Junction Community Sports and Recreation Park, 5392 Park Street (Highway M), Boulder Junction. Follow the book walk path as you read Insect Action by Heidi Braun and find fun, interactive stops along the way. Children are encouraged to “test drive” their Halloween costume while they receive goodies throughout the path. After completing the book walk, head to the Boulder Junction Community Center to meet the author! Heidi Braun will be giving short presentations every 15 minutes and will have crafts for families to complete. Copies of Insect Action will also be for sale.
The Interactive Book Walk begins in the Library Reading Garden, then goes across the driveway to the path by the skate park and basketball courts, through the playground, then along the path around the baseball diamond. Directional arrows will point readers in the right direction.
No registration is required for this event. The program is geared toward elementary ages but all are welcome! Supplies may be limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis. In case of inclement weather, Interactive Book Walk activities will take place in the community center.
