About this Event
This weekend workshop is a progressive intensive. Students will spend the first half of day one focusing on beginner heels technique, including walking, balance, strength, and performance, followed by beginner-level choreography.
On day two, students will spend the first half of the workshop breaking down common heels tricks and floorwork, and the remainder of our time reviewing the previous day's choreography, and adding a second more advanced section incorporating some of the tricks and techniques learned over the course of the weekend.
Students may sign up for one or both days, but it is expected that they will attend the full 3 hours for each day.

Meet Your Instructor
James is a dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor in San Francisco. His work explores themes of self-expression, gender, beauty in aesthetic form as well as kinesthetic empathy. James received a Certificate in Modern Dance and Choreography from Princeton University, and is now a dance faculty member at both ODC and Rae Studios as a heels instructor. He has choreographed and performed for many local organizations including ODC and Rae, as well as Electroluxx, Comfort & Joy, West Edge Opera, Oaklash, 200 Channels, and more.
